The Aggies have switched conferences to the Division 1 Independents after the Western Athletic Conference defaulted its football program.
The Aggies have a semi tough schedule this season opening up with Texas then playing 5 other teams who also made bowls last season.
Their only victory last year was against Sacramento State to open the season, then they dropped all of their remaining games by an average of a little more than 24 points, with one loss by 8.
They are weak in the passing game, with their combined quarterbacks passing for less than 100 yards last season. They are returning their leading rusher, senior Germi Morrison, who rushed for 767 yards, two touchdowns and 4.8 yards per carry. In the receiving core, their star player from last year, junior Austin Franklin, caught 74 passes for 1,245 yards, nine touchdowns and caught almost half of the teams total yards and touchdowns last year. With the inexperience in the quarterback slot this is their key player to keep them winning.
On defense they are returning 18 seniors.
Schedule and predictions. Independents have no conference schedule.
